Repeat Prescriptions

health_tech1If you are on long-term treatment or need regular prescriptions you will be given a repeat slip attached to your prescription. It allows you to get repeats of your medication either by completing your slip and posting it with a stamped addressed envelope or bringing it to the reception desk. Please tick the appropriate box for the medication you require. If you do not tick which medication is required you will not be prescribed any of those listed. You can also request your medication by requesting online.

Your prescription will be ready for collection from the Practice after 2pm in two working days (not counting Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays). Please allow 4 working days if you are collecting from a Pharmacy. This information is contained on the 2nd page of your computerised prescription slip.

To avoid any errors we do not take repeat prescriptions over the telephone.

Online Repeat Prescription Requesting

Did you know you can order your repeat prescription online and get it sent to a pharmacy of your choice?

To order your repeat prescription(s) online, all you need to do is register for GP Online Services

Once registered you can have access to:

  • Booking or cancelling appointments online

  • Ordering repeat prescriptions online

  • View your Allergies, Immunisations and Medications

  • Viewing test results online

  • View a summary of your health record

  • View your detailed coded health record *


*Registered patients can now request access to their detailed coded health record, if already registered for online services please request access via the online portal or ask at reception.

How to register for GP Online Services

To register for online services at Linden Medical Group you can either bring identification to the Practice or we can also register you by asking a series of questions to confirm your identity either Face-to-Face or over the telephone. To register over the telephone, call 01536 481734 after 10am.

Your Local Pharmacist

Your local pharmacist will be able to give you free health advice at any time – you don’t need an appointment. Many pharmacies operate extended hours on a rota basis, contact reception for further information.

A number of Pharmacies are able to offer other services, including Medication Utilisation Reviews and Smoking Cessation advice and Materials.

The Electronic Prescription Service is an NHS service. It enables you to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to dispense your medicines or appliances from.
