Job Title:

Bank Administrator and Receptionist (Care Navigator)

£8.84 per hour (FTE £17,055pa)


Hours and days as required covering absence
(working hours will vary within the times of 08:00 – 18:30)


Linden Medical Centre & Ise Medical Centre (other venues as appropriate)


We are looking for friendly and experienced people preferably with admin and reception experience to join our bank staff, to cover busy periods, planned absences (such as annual leave) and unplanned absences (such as sickness), as and when required, often at short notice. 

This is a great opportunity to join our friendly team and work the hours that fit around your lifestyle and to gain valuable work experience. There may also be a possibility of more regular work in the future.

You must be adaptable and well presented, able to demonstrate integrity and an understanding of the confidential nature of the work. Excellent communication skills are essential to provide an efficient and caring service to our patients. You must be comfortable working to multiple demands and priorities within a busy GP Practice.


Duties may include the following:

  • Working as a member of the reception and admin teams
  • Ensure efficiency of appointment system and monitor flow of patients into consulting rooms
  • Delivering an efficient and high quality front of house and reception service
  • Working in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is essential
  • Input data into the patient’s healthcare records as necessary
  • Receive and make calls as required
  • Photocopying and filing
  • Other duties as required and as applicable to the post

Essential knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Experience of working with the general public
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Clear, polite telephone manner
  • High levels of integrity and loyalty
  • Ability to work under pressure / in stressful situations
