- I collect my mums prescriptions.

When people need help with their day-to-day living they often turn to their family and friends. Up and down the UK there are 6.5 million people caring unpaid for an ill, frail or disabled family member or friend. These people will probably say “I’m just being a husband, a wife, a mum, a dad, a son, a daughter, a friend or a good neighbour,” but these people are Carers.
We have Carer’s packs available in the waiting area, which includes useful information and a Carer’s identification and referral form. Once this is completed and returned to us, we can then add you to our Carer’s Register to ensure full support is given.

The annual Jane Roebuck Carers Awards were held at Barton Hall on Wednesday the 27th January, where many professionals and carers joined to recognize and commend the very important work that carers do every day. Our surgery, along with other surgeries from the county, were awarded the Silver standard GP investors in Carers Accreditation. This accreditation was designed specifically for GP surgeries to help and encourage improvements in identification and access to the support which is available to Carers.
