GP earnings

All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. This requirement is part of the NHS’s commitment to transparency and accountability in the use of public funds

Why Display GP Earnings?

The declaration of GP earnings is intended to:

  • Promote Transparency: Ensure that the public is informed about how NHS funds are spent.
  • Accountability: Hold GP practices accountable for their financial management.
  • Public Trust: Build trust between patients and the NHS by being open about the earnings of healthcare providers.
