Patient Participation Group

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing high standards of care, we are looking for registered patients to join our Patient Participation Group (PPG).

PPG tiers

There are two tiers within our PPG:

  • Tier 1: PPG members who will attend our surgery either in person or virtually on Microsoft Teams, at least once every quarter.
  • Tier 2: PPG members who will receive updates via email/letter and will be invited to submit written feedback.

In the event that Tier 1 is full, unsuccessful applicants for Tier 1 will automatically be entered into Tier 2, for which the spaces are unlimited.

Aims of the group

  • Exchange ideas and information: Provide a forum for patients and the practice to exchange ideas and information on the services provided by the practice and its day-to-day organisation.
  • Sounding board: Act as a sounding board for the practice to share information about planned changes or service improvements and developments.
  • Direct communication: Provide a direct means of listening to and communicating with patients in areas such as patient survey findings.
  • Influence healthcare provision: Act as a representative group to influence the provision of quality healthcare and services by the practice.
