NHS guidelines on referrals

According to NHS guidelines, you have the right to choose which hospital or clinic you go to for your first outpatient appointment. You can also choose which consultant-led team will be in charge of your treatment. This choice can be made through the NHS e-Referral Service, either online, via the NHS App, by phone, or directly at your GP surgery.
