 Spring COVID-19 vaccinations

Our GP practice will not be offering COVID-19 vaccinations this spring, so it is essential for eligible individuals to visit a walk-in clinic or make an appointment. You can find all vaccination options here: www.icnorthamptonshire.org.uk/covid.

COVID-19 still poses serious risks, especially to older adults and people with weakened immune systems. Following expert guidance, the NHS is providing spring COVID-19 vaccines to those at higher risk of severe illness – including anyone aged 75 or older (by 30 June 2026), residents in care homes for older adults, and people with compromised immunity (refer to the Green Book).

The COVID-19 vaccine offers strong protection against severe disease, hospitalisation, and helps prevent deaths among the most vulnerable. As immunity from either infection or previous vaccination can decrease over time, and virus strains can change, it’s important for those at greater risk to renew their protection.

The COVID-19 vaccine has saved many lives and kept countless people out of hospital. If you or your child qualify for the COVID-19 vaccine this spring, ensure you get this extra layer of protection between before 30 June 2026.

While the NHS will send out invitations, you don’t have to wait—you can book your spring COVID-19 vaccine now. For eligibility details and information on local vaccination sites, visit www.icnorthamptonshire.org.uk/covid.

Getting vaccinated is straightforward, with thousands of appointments available daily throughout the city and counties.
