Nursing Team
The practice employs highly skilled nurses trained in the monitoring and treatment of chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, contraception, COPD and high blood pressure.
Some of the trained nurses are also trained in the assessment and management of minor illnesses and injuries, and work as clinical practitioners as well as alongside the other nurses in the team.
Some of nurses in the practice nursing team are also trained to be able to offer the care required by patients who attend the treatment rooms for appointments including: wound care (including Doppler assessments), immunisations and vaccines, cervical cytology screening, ear care, screening tests and the collection of samples requested by the doctors including phlebotomy.
Assisting the GP’s to undertake minor ops and offer long term contraception methods as required. Our health care assistants have undertaken training enabling them to support our team of doctors and nurses.
Routine and urgent appointments to see a practice nurse may be made with our receptionists.
The treatment room is open 08:30-12:30, and 13:30-18:00, Monday to Friday.
