You can obtain leaflets, advice, and personalized help directly from our practice. Our healthcare professionals, including GPs and nurses, are available to provide guidance and support. Additionally, we can refer you to our social prescriber, who specializes in smoking cessation and can offer tailored assistance to help you quit. Please enquire at reception or inform your GP or nurse during your visit.

Benefits of Quitting Smoking
Quitting smoking has immediate and long-term health benefits. Within 20 minutes of quitting, your pulse rate begins to return to normal. After 48 hours, all carbon monoxide is flushed out of your body, and your lungs start to clear out mucus. Over time, your risk of heart attack, stroke, and lung cancer significantly decreases.
